Dr. Jasvendra Tyagi

  • Department:
  • Position:
  • Experience (Years):
  • Applied sciences
  • Assistant Professor
  • 13

Brief Profile:

In the field of teaching, I have a good experience with the help of which I am able to create innovative learning environment during my classes. I always remember that the students should implement their knowledge in making the innovative projects.
In the field of research, I am working on Hall thruster, which is a popular electric propulsion device, rather than chemical thruster. Hall thruster provides continuous thrust while maintaining high efficiency and propellant utilization. I am focusing on the different types of instabilities occur in the thruster that affect operation and efficiency. In a Hall thruster, the ions and the electrons collide with the metallic walls of the chamber that generate charged particulates in the plasma of the channel. Hence, the efficiency of thruster becomes low. So minimizing the erosion of the chamber walls could be another field of research. In addition, I am also planning research in the field of Terahertz radiation generation and other ExB plasma devices.
