International Women's Day Celebration 8th March 2025 The Women's Day celebration at IMS Engineering College was a grand and joyous occasion, filled with enthusiasm, talent, and engaging activities. The event aimed to celebrate the contribution of women in building society while fostering a sense of unity and empowerment. It was attended by all the female faculty & staff members of IMSEC and girl students of IMSEC, adding to the spirit of togetherness and celebration.The event commenced with a warm welcome by the anchors, who set a positive and energetic tone for the celebrations. They emphasized the importance of Women's Day and the contributions of women in various spheres of life. Dr. Sonia Juneja, Head of the Department of Computer Science, and Presiding Officer of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of women empowerment and their pivotal role in shaping society. She also emphasized the importance of creating a safe and inclusive environment for women in the institution. The address also highlighted the role of ICC in addressing and preventing workplace harassment, ensuring that all women feel secure, respected, and empowered in their professional and academic journeys. She also mentioned that the Women Cell at IMSEC is constituted to ensure safety and security to all women and girls at IMSEC. ICC encourages zero tolerance to any kind of harassment at workplace. The address was followed by melodious musical performances by faculty and students followed by thrilling dance performances. The cultural activities mesmerized the audience, adding a delightful musical touch to the event. A fun-filled round of team based games were organised to promote teamwork and engagement, bringing laughter and excitement to the celebration The winners of the games were announced and congratulated. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the anchors, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees for making the celebration a memorable one.
