Hands-on workshop on Business Intelligence and Data Analytics using Tableau on 28.11.2023

The objective of hands-on workshop held on Nov. 28, 2023 was to apprise students about the basic concepts of business intelligence and analytics using Tableau in the field of data science. The workshop facilitated discussions, knowledge sharing and hands on practice using the Tableau Software among 3rd year students studying Data Analytics. The students participated enthusiastically and were encouraged to raise their relevant doubts.
The “Hands-on Workshop on Business Intelligence and analytics using Tableau” was organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering on Nov. 28, 2023 at Lab 9, C Block Auditorium from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad. The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Abha Kiran Rajpoot, Associate Professor from KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad. The workshop aims to facilitate discussions, knowledge sharing and hands on practice using the Tableau Software among 3rd year students studying Data Analytics.60 students of 2nd year and 3rd year attended the workshop. Data set related to Population in different countries was shared and students were made to Learn and practice the analysis techniques and data visualization using Tableau Public. Tableau is a data visualization software company that helps people see, understand, and act on data. Tableau is popular because it is easy to use and it can create beautiful and informative data visualizations. Tableau is also very versatile and can be used to visualize data from a variety of sources, including spreadsheets, databases, and cloud-based applications. Tableau is used by businesses of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and start-ups. Tableau is also used by government agencies, nonprofits, and educational institutions. All the students were able to understand the basic concepts of business intelligence and analytics using Tableau as well as prospects of jobs in the field of Data Science.
