Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad organized a 2-day “National workshop on Research & Project Development Using Machine Learning Techniques” on 24-25 Jan 2018.

Workshop was approved & sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi. Primary objective of this workshop is to provide some research insights & introduction to fundamental algorithms in machine learning. Faculty & research scholars from various technical institutions including IMSEC attended the workshop as participants. Total of 50 participants attended the workshop. Few B.Tech students also attended the workshop. Workshop was attended by 50 participants including faculty &research scholars from various technical institutions including IMSEC. Inaugural talk was conducted by Prof. R. Balasubramanian from IIT Roorkee on “Introduction to Machine Learning & Applications”. On this occasion Director of the institute Prof.Sraban Mukherjeeencouraged the participants and the students to take up good research projects in the domain area of Machine learning There were sessions on “Supervised & Unsupervised learning techniques” by Prof. DurgaTosniwal, from IIT Roorkee on day one. Day two began with the session of Mr. Sushil Chandra, Sr. Consultant from TCS. His talk covered the various aspects of Machine Learning in IT Industry¤t job prospects in this domain area. Prof. S. Balasunduramfrom JNU, New Delhigave his to talk on “Support Vector Machines”. Final Session was conducted by Prof. Rajeev Kumar, from JNU, New Delhi. His talk focused on various “Issues & research directions”in the field of Machine Learning.
