GeoSpatial technology is considered to be a vertical technology where its applications are enormous which can be viewed as an integration of is components like GIS, Remote Sensing and GPS. IMS Engineering College has taken the initiative to take part in the capacity building program on this technology offered by IIRS-ISRO. Since its inception of the centre at IMS Engineering College, many of the students have developed various applications and have won national level prizes. Government is also encouraging the technical institutions to proactively take part in the capacity building program on GeoSpatial Technology and encouraging students to utilize the satellite data which is available in public domain.
