Department Highlights

  • The Academic Advisory Board (AAB) of the MBA Department meets every year to review and advise on a variety of issues such as placements, industry connect, students' quality, students' exchange programs, etc. Distinguished people from Industry and Education are valuable members of AAB.
  • Department of MBA conducts FDP for the skills enhancement of faculty regarding the latest teaching pedagogical techniques. This year a Five-Day online Faculty Development Programme on 'Advance Panel Data Analysis using Gretl' is planned from 21 March to 25 March 2022.
  • Workshops and certifications from Google and Microsoft, innovative teaching pedagogy comprising of business Simulation games, and a host of other events add a lot of value to our MBA program. MBA Department successfully conducted LIVE/ ONLINE classes for its students during lockdown period.
  • AAGHAAZ: A Management Fest is the flagship event organized every year by students of MBA. It is an inter-college event where students from other B schools compete with each other. A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) was signed between MBA Department and Trakinvest Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore to provide virtual trading platform based on simulated major National and International stock Markets. Students are able to practice their stock trading and portfolio management skills.
  • “URBANITY: A Soft Skill Training” is organized for MBA final year students. This workshop is organized on Saturdays. MBA final year students are grilled for their GD, Technical and PI skills. The ACADEMIC ADVISORY BOARD (AAB) of the MBA Department is being formed to review and advise on variety of issues such as placements, industry connect, students' quality, students' exchange programmes etc. Distinguished people from Industry and Education are the valuable members of AAB.
  • There is a management club called KAIZEN run by MBA students. It conducts an array of activities from Group discussions, Debates, Presentations, Fresher and Farewell party celebrations, Sports Events, Business quizzes, and other extra and co-curricular activities. MBA first year students Ashi Jain and AkankshaRastogi stood First in the BUSINESS QUIZ competition organized in 'Markfest 2020' at IMS Ghaziabad University Course Campus, on 1st February 2020, Saturday.
  • Department provides a platform for MBA final year students to join the International "Nusantara Project" organized by The Association of International Business & Professional Management (AIBPM). In this project, students work in a Global Virtual team and collaborate with other students from different countries to manage a consulting company. 
  • Department conducts Alumni Meet every year for its alumni. During the event, they visit their classrooms and hostels to relive their old memories.
  • Mentoring Policy is strongly followed by Department to minimize dropouts, improve performance and reduce the stress of the students. Students experience various types of problems due to stress which can be personal, academic, physical, mental. Students are new to professional college life. One solution, therefore, is a ‘Mentor’ who can form the bond with students in the true sense.

  • Department promotes sportsmanship among students by motivating them to participate in sports events. Kanika Sisodia, MBA Final year student won GOLD MEDAL in the XIth National Crossbow Shooting Championship organized by the International Federation of World Crossbow under 18m senior women category. She has qualified for the Asian Crossbow Shooting Championship under the same category.
  • "Since Participation is the best method of Learning", MBA students are encouraged to participate in Inter-college Management Fests, or events like Spardha, organized by Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram. They actively participate in events organized by Ghaziabad Management Association and All India Management Association. The students presented on the topics, ‘The influence of social media on business and Cryptocurrency: Is this the future or just a fad’. It was a great learning experience for students along with fun and enjoyment.
  • A Fresher's Party is a way to begin an exhilarating and fabulous new journey where the juniors unite with seniors. Department organizes Fresher's party for newly admitted students every year. This is the most awaited event where one can find the amalgamation of cultural events including dancing, singing, poetry, Qawwali, stand-up comedy, etc.
  • Department organizes short tours to Trade fairs, book fairs, etc. By Visiting International Trade Fairs, students get the flavour of the MSME sector, village and cottage industries.
  • IMSEC MBA is associated with Cleardekho for placements, training, and consultancy purposes through an MOU since September 2021. Cleardekho is founded in 2017 to address a major need gap by improving accessibility of high-quality affordable eyeglasses to the low-income mass-market consumers across Tier II/III/IV towns of India.
  • Department of MBA welcomes its new Batch of students by organizing Orientation program “AAROHAN” under the guidance of the Head of Department. The day usually commences with the lightning of Lamp and offering Petals to Maa Saraswati Ji. The newly admitted students take the blessings of Goddess Saraswati Ji. They are told about the examination system, resources, and facilities at IMSEC MBA. The newly admitted MBA Batch also plants saplings supporting their vision of providing innovative solutions to the contemporary problems of society.
  • The Alumni Committee of the MBA Department regularly invites its Alumni round the year under the Alumni Lecture Series. Recently an alumni lecture was successfully organized on " Mantras of College to Corporate" on 11th September 2021. The speaker was Ms. Vasudha Gupta, MBA 2009-11, currently working as a Talent Acquisition lead with Bytelearn.
  • IMSEC MBA offers a “Domestic Tour” to its final year students as part of the MBA Programme where they visit industries and tourist places for 4-5 days. Students have visited Uttarakhand and Rajasthan as part of their domestic tour.
  • There is a Virtual Investment Lab at IMSEC MBA in association with Trak Invest. It offers Virtual Stock market exposure to MBA students, awesome simulated trading experience, and short-term training in related areas.
  • Dr. Monica Verma, Dean MBA is selected as a Master Trainer for the Masters’ Trainers Programme under UKIERI, an initiative of AICTE and Govt. of UK. She is among the 40 Master Trainers who have been selected from all over India.
  • Dr. Monica Verma, Dean MBA has received the Best Paper Award in the 2nd International Conference on Redefining Human Resources and Management Perspective organized by School of Commerce, Jain (Deemed-to-be-University) Bengaluru on April 8, 2021.
  • Dr. Monica Verma, Dean MBA has received Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Teacher’s Excellence Award 2020 conferred by Shikshak Kalyan Foundation and ALTTC (BSNL)
  • Dr. Monica Verma, Dean MBA is a member of Editorial Board, Journal of Management and Service Science, Amity University, Lucknow.
  • Dr. Monica Verma, Dean MBA is a mentor of Anveshan Foundation, IGDTUW, Delhi
  • MBA faculty members have received a Certificate of Appreciation, from Dr. APJ AKTU for developing E-Lectures and uploading online video lectures.  These recorded lectures are broadcasted through DD channel, Syamprabha.
  • Dr. Abhijiit Das, Professor MBA is an Associate Editor in Journal under ‘RET Academy for International Journals of Multidisciplinary Research’ (RAIJMR).
  • All the MBA faculties have received the Certificate of Recognition by AIBPM, Indonesia for Supervision of the 2021 Nusantara Worldwide Collaboration Project involving 15 universities who worked together in Global Virtual Teams.
