- The Programme Assessment and Quality Improvement Committee (PAQIC) and Departmental Advisory Committee(DAC) of the MBA Department meets every year to review and advise on a variety of issues such as placements, industry connect, students' quality, students' exchange programs, etc. Distinguished people from Industry and Education are valuable members of AAB.
- The Department of MBA at IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad, has signed multiple MoUs with esteemed industry partners such as Yash Foundation, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, TalentGro, and Bag Bugs, among others. These collaborations aim to enhance student development by providing industry exposure, skill-building opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences, bridging the gap between academia and the corporate world.
- AROHAN, our specialized MBA orientation program designed to immerse students in the college's code of conduct and foster familiarity with the campus environment. From guiding principles to campus culture, we're committed to equipping students with the knowledge and resources needed to thrive in their academic journey.
- COMFIESTA: An Exhibition is the flagship event organized every year by students of MBA. It is an intra-college event where students from other B schools compete with each other and showcase their marketing Skills.
- We prioritize staying at the forefront of education by continually enhancing our curriculum. Through a dedicated focus on innovation, we regularly introduce new Value Added Courses to ensure our students are prepared for the ever-evolving demands of the industry.
- "Faculty excelled in Research Methods & Data Analysis through SPSS training, enhancing departmental expertise." All Faculty members of Department attended Faculty Development Programme on Research Methods and Data Analysis using SPSS from 12 to 13 July 2023, organized by IPEM Ghaziabad.
- "The MBA department, in collaboration with IIC-IMSEC, hosted Online Guest Lecture on Entrepreneurship Day. Notable speakers included Mr.Satish Kumar (Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India), Mr.HitaishShrivastava (Founder and CEO of Bag Bugs), and Mr.Shivang Mittal (CEO of Mittal Polyester Fabric). Tailored for MBA students, the session, titled 'World Entrepreneurs Day: Igniting Ideas, Empowering Entrepreneurship,' was held on August 21, 2023."
- Department of MBA, in partnership with TPC Global, hosted a two-day Faculty Development Program titled "Enhancing Leadership Excellence through Emotional Intelligence and Stress Management." Led by CEO Mr. Ajay Sharma, focused on "Leadership Communication," offering valuable insights and interactive sessions to enrich participants' leadership skills and foster team engagement.
- On August 25, 2023, students from Department of MBA undertook industrial visits to renowned companies, enriching their understanding of real-world business operations and bridging the gap between theory and practice. Divided into groups, they gained valuable insights into diverse industries, fostering practical learning experiences.
- Workshop Series, an enriching initiative where each faculty member shares their expertise in specialized areas. Engaging session on Stock Market Awarenessby Dr.MeenuBaliyan. Gain valuable insights and practical knowledge to navigate the complexities of the stock market landscape and enhance your financial acumen.
- Department of MBA conducts FDP for the skills enhancement of faculty regarding the latest teaching pedagogical techniques. This year a Five-Day online Faculty Development Programme on 'Advance Panel Data Analysis using Gretl' is planned from 11 Sept to 15 Sept 2023.
- “URBANITY: A Soft Skill Training” is organized for MBA final year students. This workshop is organized on Saturdays. MBA final year students are grilled for their GD, Technical and PI skills.
- There is a management club called KAIZEN run by MBA students. It conducts an array of activities from Group discussions, Debates, Presentations, Fresher and Farewell party celebrations, Sports Events, Business quizzes, and other extra and co-curricular activities.
- Department provides a platform for MBA final year students to join the International "Nusantara Project" organized by The Association of International Business & Professional Management (AIBPM). In this project, students work in a Global Virtual team and collaborate with other students from different countries to manage a consulting company.
- Department conducts Alumni Meet every year for its alumni. During the event, they visit their classrooms and hostels to relive their old memories.
- Workshops and certifications from Google and Microsoft, innovative teaching pedagogy comprising of business Simulation games, and a host of other events add a lot of value to our MBA program.
- AAGHAAZ: A Management Fest is the flagship event organized every year by students of MBA. It is an inter-college event where students from other B schools compete with each other.
- Mentoring Policy is strongly followed by Department to minimize dropouts, improve performance and reduce the stress of the students. Students experience various types of problems due to stress which can be personal, academic, physical, and mental. Students are new to professional college life. One solution, therefore, is a ‘Mentor’ who can form the bond with students in the true sense.
- AFresher's Party is a way to begin an exhilarating and fabulous new journey where the juniors unite with seniors. Department organizes Fresher's party for newly admitted students every year. This is the most awaited event where one can find the amalgamation of cultural events including dancing, singing, poetry, Qawwali, stand-up comedy, etc.
- Department organizes short tours to Trade fairs, book fairs, etc. By Visiting International Trade Fairs, students get the flavour of the MSME sector, incubation cell, village and cottage industries.
- Various student research papers were published in Nusantara Worldwide Collaboration Project involving 15 universities who worked together in Global Virtual Teams.
- Dr.MeenuBaliyan, HOD MBA got the opportunity to join 14th Global Skill Summit 2023, hosted by FICCI at Federation House in New Delhi. The event, themed "Building Skills, Empowering Youth, Creating Future," will take place from September 20, 2023, to September 21, 2023. This summit offers a valuable opportunity for both learning and networking.
- Dr.MeenuBaliyan, HOD MBA, leads in-house training on Power BI for MBA II year students, addressing the industry demand for this crucial skill set. Empowering students with cutting-edge knowledge in data analytics for contemporary professional readiness.
- "Since Participation is the best method of Learning", MBA students are encouraged to participate in Inter-college Management Fests, or events like ANUBHAV 2023, Summer Internship Competitionorganized by Various Management Institution and also won cash prizes and recognition. It was a great learning experience for students along with fun and enjoyment.
- Seniors lead an Industry Readiness Boot camp initiative for first-year students, imparting essential skills and insights to prepare them for the professional world. A hands-on learning experience designed to foster industry readiness and student success. Various training sessions were organized on Tableau, Advance Excel, Project Management, Data Analysis etc.
- The Alumni Committee of the MBA Department regularly invites its Alumni round the year under the Visionary Chanakyas: Alumni talk Series. Recently an alumni talk was successfully organized on "Mantras of College to Corporate" on 6th December 2023. The speaker was Mr.Mohd. Rohaan, MBA 2021-23, currently working as a CEO of YARS Solutions.
- Students benefited from diverse industrial visits aimed at providing practical exposure and enhancing their understanding of real-world business operations. An enriching experience to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Recently students visited Moon Beverages Happiness Factory, Yakult and SEBI.
